Yes I was kind of wondering that myself.

Me and sven where wondering when someone would QQ about this. It's been inactive for ages, we're kinda just letting it die now... You can thank dreg though, he promised updates and didn't deliver, so we had a lack of updates that was necessary for the activity of this forum, he offered to help us and wasn't devoted.. (even though I spent hours designing stuff for him in return) kinda pisses me off.

Although i'm not here much. It's a good forum. It would be a shame to see it die

It died because we promised you guys updates that we were unable to deliver which were based on ETA's courtesy of dreg, who left for another forum.
Which inturn, we lost a lot of members, if you look at our hit counter it was plummetting.
All our attempts at stimulating the comunity were fails, such as the tournament which was my baby, I had to try so hard to get that, and before we closed it, the last round, only 1 person entered out of the 8 contestants. No one was participating in the competitions, in the tournament or SotW. People weren't CCing each others work and only posting their own crap and buggering off.
So we got the shits and stopped trying and left it.

we dont have a coder, and nobody wants to code proboards anymore since the service has gone to the shitter.
If i open another forum it will be with IPB or something.

What if you were working on a project for school, put a lot of work into writing it, and you had a friend put the words on the paper, but he just stopped. You'd be pretty pissed. Just because it may have been free doesn't have anything to do with it, to me that still makes it seem like he couldn't keep his promises.

All i'm saying is that a lot, if not all, of the blame seems to be falling on Dreggie, who (believe it or not) probably has better things to do. It wouldn't be as bad, but you've mentioned it at least twice. If you want a coder to persevere, keep them interested.

Either way - I DID design stuff for him, and made several revamps despite my better judgment as a graphic designer..
I designed a lot more for him than he coded for VS.. he promised he'd code several things for VS, and essentially lied.
Case closed, VS is dead because of dreg, and little else. We needed those updates so we could open several features, we made promises based on dreg's own stated deadline, and after not delivering time after time, VS died.
