Well, heres my classic thread. Anychacnce we can get of the restrictions? Reasoning: it would allow LP and tutorials not to be squashed. Counter arguement: It would srtetch the board... whaaaaa Counter arguement of counter argument: it would only stretch the few pages which large art is featured such as tutorials and spotlight LPs. Which are few threads, and would do the artists a favor since they would be able to display there actuall work instead of a link or a pixelized mess Or a compromise, can we atleast add the code to tell that its being squished?

I think that it would be better to allow the board to be stretched in the resources board, so people can easily view tutorials etc without clicking on links.

The board IS allowed to stretch in the tutorials board, just not gigantic huge wide tutorials because then you can barely even reply to the threads.. and tbh it's just retarded making those types of tutorials anyway.. pisses me off tbh. And I don't see the big deal with making your image a link.. just say click for full size, all of the other cool kids do it.

That requires JS, and JS re-sizing images = extremely slow loading.. just check any forum that uses JS to resize images and you'll see what I mean. 'cause there's hundreds of images in a thread, and the script checks every one of them. Dreg made it resize with CSS 'cause he's awesome. But it has it's limits.

Or we can just make the board a little longer?

Not possible since about 20 images are already made for our exact width. Plus, any more width and the boards will have a scrollbar for smaller resolutions.

What about posting thumbnails w/ link? That'd be best option imo.

Thats what it already currently is. If the thing gets made smaller, you post a link. It's not done automatically, you have to do it manually, but either you - if you don't know it's going to get resized, when you do find out, modify your post with a link.
Problem solved.

Maybe make a little box above the input box when you make a new topic that says something about including a link when you post LP's in case they get resized?
